Default SOMEONE PLEASE HELP>>>>PINGING AND ACTING A FOOL

I have a 04 corvette that is supercharged ( 7psi ) with headers, exhaust, 2800 stall. etc, and has been custom tuned.......about a month ago I bent and cracked a piston from detonation....so I rebuilt it with forged pistons from flat top pistons to -2cc flat top pistons...I have new msd wires and ingtion...new TR6 spark plugs....after the rebuild the car started and ran great when it reached about 200 miles on the motor it started pinging and loosing power not wanting to idle sometimes. I have checked the valves 3 times I cant find a problem. The fuel pressure is good about 59psi. Dont know what else to do.....Can anyone help???????

I think I responded to this thread on CF, are you running the stock fuel pump? It is likely not keeping up with the boosted fuel requirements. Pressure is not a good indicator unless you are measuring at full RPM to ensure you have the flow rate required for the bigger injectors.

By the air/fuel gauge the car idle between lean and rich and when I rev up the motor it runs towards the rich side. Also I check the fuel pressure at about 3000 rpm and its about 60lbs of psi.

You need a wideand, the air/fuel gauge your describing is basically an "in the range rough guesstimate". Might want to look into a racetronix or lingenfelter pump, or at least a boost-a-pump
