lingenfelter engine blocks
Has anyone bought an lingenfelter block or packages for your car? Im considering one of their packages for a future project. Should I go with them or spend my money elsewhere.
*edit* Oh yea the future project will be 500hp at the wheel with all other supporting mods ( headers, intake, rear end, suspension and etc). I was thinkin about their 350 C.i packge rated at 420hp, which should give me some room to work up to 500hp (researching other mods as well)

Purchased the Lingenfelter 383 Forged Short Block here last year at this time.
Build time was quick, about 2 weeks or so.
My stock blocks problem was piston slap & oil consumption.
The LPE block is forged, with zero slapping issues. The only oil issue is the oil getting past the pcv system (still using the stock type ls1 pcv setup), but did add a catch can to catch that oil.
I slapped in my own cam, and AFR heads.
I am very happy with the setup!
link in my sig for my little 'ol web site for the car.
