6liter LQ4 heads questions? I have a chance to buy a pair of 2002 6 liter LQ4 heads at a cheap price.
my car is a bolt on 2001 z28 m6.
I was wondering two things:
I know the combustion chambers in the LQ4 are bigger then the ls1 heads so my compression will go from 10:1 to 9:1. Will that drop work fine on a bolt on ls1?
Also I know the LQ4 have an increased cfm flow over the ls1, so what would be the typical hp and torque increase I might see...
and
Is it worth getting these heads or should I just hold off until I can afford a set of ported AFR or EGR, Patriot etc....
