Stock lifters run fine with that much preload, have you checked on the Comp web site?

I looked and couldn't find it either, and I know it was there a few months ago as I was looking for the difference in preload between the 850's and the R's. They must have taken it down.

I got my pushrod length checker tonight and I'm running comp 850's as well. I wanted to double check everything on this new motor and according to what I did a 7.320" to 7.325" pushrod gave me zero lash so my 7.4's should give me about .080" preload. I guess it will be alright. Now if I had comp R lifters it would be a whole different story. LOL
