Default help with problem?

I have a 2002 camaro A4. The speedometer is not working, when this started my car will now only shift 1-2. My question, is the vehicle speed sensor in the transmission bad causing it not to shift and the speedometer to not work or do I have two different problems going on?

TTT for both of us.
Mine's working but I have an M6 that is idling at 1300 RPM and throwing a speed sensor code. Is there only one located in the trans?

Yes, the speed sensor controls the shift points, i would just try replacing it, the problems are linked to the one sensor... crazy squid, there is only one speed sensor, its located to on the back end of the transmission...

Yes its speed sensor that more than likely the cause of your problem.
If the odometer went out the car would still drive good cause the PCM would still get it signal.
Speed Sensor is located on the tranny
