Default What pistons/rods for FI?

Well I was gunna build my turbo kit around my stock block and buy a new block later on but I've decided to hone my current block and rebuild it. What pistons and rods would be good for an 8.5 compression ratio? The motor is using stock LQ9 heads for the time being. Suggestions?

Callies Compstar rods and Diamond pistons are probably one of the more popular setups.

W2W FI pistons with a chrome topped ring and Callies Compstar rods with ARP connecting rods. Tell W2W your complete head/gasket/cam setup and they will give you the ideal dish for a low compression ratio.

I have a feeling W2W is gunna be $$$ but you get what you pay for I guess. Time to bite the bullet and do the damn thing.

Your in Chicago why not avoid the shipping costs and go to Speed Inc?

Oh, and the Callies Compstar rods come with ARP 2000 bolts

The W2W pistons are a joint effort between them and Mahle. They claim it has been tested to over 1500 hp. However, it is pricey. $920!

With power levels under 800hp I bet you'd be fine with Diamond forged pistons. You can get them at Speed Inc for about $600. However, in my opinion if you can afford to build a motor and turbo kit why not spend the extra $300 for added securtity?
