Stroke my motor for a turbo?
I was wondering if the lutani 383 stroker kit with the forged pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft would go well with a F.I. setup? If not, what would u recommend for a 700-900 rwhp turbo setup? Also, keep it 346 or stroke it? This will be along with AFR heads and a custom grinded turbo cam... Thanks for the help

Unless you really have a wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket I would stay with stock cubes. Being your only shooting for 700-900hp I would stay with the stock crank and just put a good set of rods and pistons in it and call it day.

Hey, sorry it has taken so long to respond. So why is the lutani kit so expensive compared to the eagle setup? I definetly want to get a forged crank just for safety of mind. Do you all recommend that I just keep it at 346 cu in? What will the extra 40 or so inches really do for me? Thanks alot for ur input, it really helps.

oh riiiight... lol ls2's are in the 05-06 GTO's right? I think ill just keep the LS1 just cause i love em so much and i dont want to put the extra money into swapping blocks. Ill just forge internals, get AFR heads and a custom grinded cam. Should i replace rockers, valve springs, rods, lifters, etc? or just keep all of it stock?

Rockers - I would look into having the stockers rebuilt by Harland Sharp
Valve Springs - Definitely. Look at the Patriot Performance "gold" springs or Comp 921's
Rods - your talking about forged internals so this is a given, no?
Lifters - might as well while you have it all apart
Don't forget about ARP hardware throughout

i didnt think pushrods were the same as connecting rods? Am i mistaken? I am gonna feel real dumb if they are the same thing. Why have the stockers rebuilt? Why not get new stockers? Or why not get a different spec of rockers? I think i have heard that the stock rockers are good enough tho come to think of it.

Having the Harland/Nasty touch on your stock rockers will make them the best bang for the buck.

ok, well now im torn between gettin a 402 aluminum block, or stroking to a 383, or just keeping the stock 346... ugh, anyone have any ideas on the pricing of building a 402 aluminum block built for a big *** turbo?
