Default 408 Iron block

Have finally decided to go with built motor. Hurt the old one pretty bad, so not much is left. Decided on long block. I am debating between 408 iron or 402 Aluminum (Wow, what a suprise). I was wondering though, guys with the iron block, was the added weight in the front of the car very noticable when driving? I am really leaning toward the Iron block, b/c of the abality to run a hefty amount of spray in it, or forced induction if I ever get the money. So any insight would be great.

It will affect the front suspension. My car was lowered, and I had to switch the front springs back to the SLP bilsteins for a resonable ride height. I also added a heavier front sway bar which helped alot.

I 'll taked the durability of the iron block any day. For FI or N2O, it's a no brainer.

I just had mine installed and I cannot tell a difference in handling or streetability. My car is also lowered with the eiback pro kit and it sits about the same height.

Plenty of people running big spray or big boost in the aluminum block. Why add the extra weight?
