Default Need info on oil pressure

Hey guys, ned a little input.I recently rebuilt my Ls6 and turned it into a 383.I took the car to Road Atlanta back in July and again this past weekend. At both times my oil pressure cold is around 42psi.After about 15 minutes the pressure at 3000rpm is around 25 psi and at 6500 around 33 to 35 psi.The oil temp is around 220 to 250f.The pump is a ported Kateck. Also at idle when I come off of the track its around 25psi.The other question is that when I first start the car the DIC(I have a 03 zo6) shows low oil pressure and slowly climbs to the correct pressure. The car was floged at both events. The cars speed according to track mate on the back stretch was 165mph.I drive it like I stole it.One more thing, before I did this last event I took the lower pan off to see any sediments.Nothing.My brother said not a problem, but some of zo6 friends who track thier cars and I drove one Saturday, his pressure never got below 40psi.I guess thats whats got me concerned. Thanks

I'm not sure what oil you are using but I recommend Amsoil Race Oil 20w 50.
I've had great results with it and most people see 8-9 psi switching from Mobil 1 5w 30.

35 psi at 6500 is too low. If you're not running a ridiculously thin oil, I'd have to think something is off clearance-wise internally.
