Ported oil Pump PSi
Hi,
Last time I had my pump out for a cam swap I hand ported it to improve flow and shimmed the releif valve for a little extra pressure.
Just hooked up some aeroforce scan gauges and wounder if pressure is a little high - idles at 60 psi and hits 90 psi WOT.
Maybe i overdid it with the shims - 3 mm from memory, or releif valve is sticking.
I do run a fairly thick oil also (Penrite HPR 30) which probably doersn't help.

So is stock on an LS2/6.0 supposed to be in the 65-70 psi range at idle warm? I am trying to figure out why my lifters won't pump up and have 35 at idle. Thanks.
