I have an 01 ls1 with bout 40000 miles on it and was wondering if anyone could tell me why i am burning oil. the cars runs good and doesnt get hot but i can smell that i am burning it. I tried the lucas synethic oil stabalizer and it didnt help. one guy told me it mite be a valve and another said it mite be a ring. But they dnt know much bout the ls1. Has anyone else had this problem that could help me out?

You might want to try out a catch can. Its possible that you're getting a bit of oil in your intake.
