Heads/Cam/Intake Mani MPG
I know this is a stupid question... and I can probably search to find it. But the search is down and I am curious.
Mildly ported LS6 heads. Bigger then average sized cam... Torquer 233/239 cam for arguement sake. LS6 Intake, FAST, whichever...
In a 6 speed with stock gears in rear. Driving normal and and not being a jackass. Cruising on the highway in 6th, no mashing it every chance, etc...
Guys still grabbing 20+ mpg? 17mpg mixed driving?

A friend has a MS3 with LS6 intake (stock heads) on a 2000 M6 C5 and he lost about 4-5mpg so far. However the tuner is still working on the tune. I think there is a lot left on the table since that was the tuners first LS1 motor and it doesn't idle or run nearly how it should.

That calculates out to roughly 18 to 23 MPG in mixed driving. You just have to be carefull not to rev to 5K for every shift. I would shift it at 2500 to 3000 and not nail the throttle. I never beat on the car on the street, no point in it, not when Im simply driving to school or something similer. If Im out for fun, then I have DR's on the back and it's a different story.
Once again, 4:11's in a 6spd car with 450RWHP Heads/Cam and 30# injectors. CARTEK's set-ups have always been very efficient on fuel in standard driving conditions. Even now making 507.9RWHP in H/C with 4.56's im getting roughly 23mpg on the highway and 17 in city. But at the track I only get about 7 - 9 passes to a 1/4 tank LOL That is 2-mpg... BIG difference LOL
