Default have rods in but lifters still move

Doing a cam swap and I'm ready to pull the cam but I have a couple lifters that still move when I turn the cam. I have the 5/16 rods in all the way. Is it normal for them to move a little? I'm scared to pull the cam out of fear of the lifters falling in the engine.

Mine did the same thing but I just did the swap really quick so that I would have to worry about it too much. It was harder to get the cam out than putting it back in. That was my experience....

Did you spin the cam a few times clockwise quickly before inserting the rods?
Lifters are supposed to lodge themselves in the cups that way. Also rockers and
p-rods are off.

Default same prob

I had the exact same problem. I did the rod trick and they didnt hold my lifters up for $hit. I inserted both both rods, and yes they were the right size and my lifters still rode the cam like they were was nothing holding them up. I just ended up huying 16 pen magnets at harbor freight for $2 a peice and that worked perfectly.
