Default cam for the future of my car (99 vette)

I have not yet made a account on this forum so i am under my brothers name but i drive a 99 FRC vette with a ls7 clutch and from what i can tell ported/polished heads but i still need to pull the valve cover to double check.

My plans are Kooks LT headers, LS6 Intake, and other small boltons then save for a 402 or 408 ls2 short block. I dont want todo things twice so which cam would be good for both setups? I only drive the car on weekends and more lope the better.

how can you tell if it's ported/polished by pulling the valve covers. i would think you could see all you need to see by pulling the intake and or exhaust manifold

Well the casting number is milled off and the last owner modded the car and demodded most of it but left me a clutch. Any reason why the would mill off the casting number and polish it?
