Default 2002 Z28 H/C Soon, do I need just TB or Fast 90/90

Guys, just curious here, I know my 2002 came with an LS6 intake. However did it come with a larger (LS6) TB?

Is it worth the upgrade to the 90/90 FAST upgrade for my H/C upgrade? Considering the car already has an LS6 intake.

Let me know your thoughts and opinions...thanks!

The LS1 and LS6 use the same size TB. The only difference in the 2 is that the LS1 has a winged shape floor and the LS6 has the flat floor which give it better flow. You can have your stock TB ported which seems to be a good mod. Do a search for throttle body porting (at the top of the tool bar here) and there is a great write up on how to do it yourself or you could pay someone a couple hundred to have it done.

I added my fast 90/90 set-up after my H/C install. I picked a couple HP's and a few RWTQ. I plan on building a 427 later but I would hold off on the fast 90. Get your car dialed in and then do it when you are looking for your last few HP's.

Best of luck,
J.R.

JR,

Thanks for the good information. I guess I'll start with the TFS heads and a matched cam and spend time tuning on it. Then when I'm looking for an extra 10-15 rwhp, go with that 90/90 FAST. BTW, do you know Erik at HK Enterprises?

Thanks!
