Default Oil Pressure sensor went bad again!!!

Anyone have problems with this. My friend purchased a used C5 with procharger already installed. Soon after he received the car the oil pressure sensor stopped reading. We replaced it with a new one from GM 2 weekends ago. This morning he fires her up and NO OIL PRESSURE reading........again!!

Anyone have any idea what the cause of this could be????

Thanks in advance,
J.R.

Are you sure that the Sensor is bad and your not really getting Zero or Low pressure ?.. maybe put a manual Oil Pressure gauge on the port above the oil filter to get a reading.

I'd check the wiring for shorts that could be causing it to take a dive.

Actually, he is telling me that it is reading like 80-100 PSI.........that is way wrong for a stock LS1 oil pump. I was reading around 35-45 last week. From what I have learned on the corvetteforum, this is very common. They are just pieces of sheet and go bad very often.???

They don't go bad in two weeks.
