Default questions after cam install

i just put a Torquer V.2 in my 1998 z28 its a M6, did all the supporting upgrades in the process, as well as throw on a ls6 intake, car started and runs good, its still untuned with a ported MAF and stock throttle body(no drill mod). it idles good around 1k rpm , but as soon as i start driving from off idle to 2200 it chugs very violently then at about 2200 it drives smooth as if it were stock except with alot more pull of course. i am going to get it tuned friday, i am just curious if this is normal.
