Default LS1 and LS6 valey cover any difference?

Is there any difference between the LS1 Valley cover and the LS6 cover? I understand the intakes are different. Are the valley covers different.
I know its kind of a dumb question but I know nothing about valley covers.

Reason being I am buying new block and dont want to switch over my cover would rather find another cover.

Yes, the LS6 has the PCV provision on it, and it has a oil / air seperator in the valley to help eliminate oil sucked through the PCV into the intake and burned.

No difference. I did the swap and the LS6 pcv got just as much oil in the intake as my LS1 pcv did.

Physically, yes. The LS6 valley cover has a black plastic box underneath it. You need to notch the block for it in most cases. I haven't seen the oil issues as I did with the stock LS1 cover.

Yeah, its funny till I realize just how long Ive had that mod!

Anyway, While I still get some oil in the intake, My catch can has much less oil in it. Im sure the LS6 PCV mod is doing quite a bit, but nothing gets rid of oil injestion completely, except breathers, but thats a whole other bag of issues.

When the LS6 valley cover mod is done, the LS6 PCV valve has to be used. If you reuse the LS1 one it will be sucking oil. also the TB to valve cover injests good amounts itsel, I put a VW clear fuel filter on there and i get almost no oil in intake.

Whats the difference? When I looked up the part numbers at autozone they came up with the same part number. Is it like the truck PCV which only has the small pinhole?
