Default front cover seal

i bought a motor and it is missing the balancer.wheni install the new one would it be a good idea to change the front timing chain cover seal and gasket.

Yes, and put the balancer on with the timing cover bolts loose so you center the seal, then tighten.

Yes, use the newer version which is black, you will get it by default from GM, pn is superseded

the old grey seals would 'cut' a groove in the pulley
