LIfter gloves Not exactly an GenIII ?,but can you guys help. tryin to help a chevy guy over on Pirate4x4. A few months ago,I read an article that Gm had come out with plastic lifter gloves for the SBC,making it very easy to convert pre 87 blocks to roller cam. Can any one point me in the right direction,or give a part #. Guys dealer is clueless,and won't help him without a vin.Also,don't you need a cam button,or retainer to stop cam walk. I already know that the dist. gear needs to be a hardened one. thanks for any help guys!

GM part # 88958652 - It's called "Quick-Cam".
Unfortunatly, this will not do what you need it to do. This only allows you to change a cam out w/o pulling the intake manifold, and will only work on 87+ roller blocks.
