Trying to find "ignition switch hot lead"
Hey guys,
I'm trying to install a line lock kit from TR, and I'm having trouble locating a wire. One of the steps says the following:
Locate ignition switch hot lead. On a GM F-body, this is typically a large pink wire. This wire can be found underneath the engine copartment fuse box. To help locate this wire, use a volt meter or a test light to look for the wire that reads 12 volts when the ignition switch is in the "on" position, but does not read any volts when the ignition is in the "off" position.
I looked under the fuse boxes in the engine compartment, and holy **** there's a lot of pink wires. Is this wire going to be going into the fuse box or just running under it? There appears to be some wires going under the fuse boxes to the driver's side headlight. I looked in the jacket, and it doesn't look like there are any pink wires in this bunch, though. Am I just looking in the wrong place or what?
