Default Cam surge question?

Well i just wanted to know what rpm you guys are at when driving the speed limit 35mph? I noticed today that when i am under 1500 rpm my car bucks. I figure its because of the cam surge. I know i need gears very bad but even when i do get gears i think the car is still going to act the same way when it is under 1500rpm. How does your cammed car act under 1500rpm when driving at normal speeds? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

What size cam do you have? My Comp 222/224 in a heavy car (M6 - 3.73 Diff) is fine at around 1500rpm, but at around 1000 - 1200, at low carpark speeds, it will surge a little - I control it with the clutch.

If it surges at that engine speed, whilst you are going at 35mph, you may need to choose a lower gear.

Good luck with it,

Macca

Yeah i know the car needs gears bad. But i was just thinking, even when i have gears when i am under 1500rpm i think the car is still going to act the same way, so my question is what rpm are you guys usually at when your driving the normal speed limits.
