Default symptoms of spinning a rod bearing??

i am unsure whats going on.

just installed heads/cam in my car. revs are set at 6500.

changed oil after 1000 miles just cause i was unsure on a new cam/heads.
found metal shavings on the plug...not much but a little to be worried about.

Car idles fine, hesitates a little but i think this is due to the larger stall i have in it, plus my tuner said it will have a little surging. Couple times on a cold start it will drop to 500 rpms then go back to 900 rpms.

around 45 mph the car will hesitate like its dying, it sounds like its knocking but i am unsure..if i hit the pedal it will go away...could i just be going crazy???

It'll sound like a 4 cell maglite flash light, with no batteries, and the caps loosened.

If it's a rod bearing, the noise gets louder and faster with the RPMs, and does not go away, EVER. You can run a thicker oil, but it does nothing to "fix" the problem, it'll just make it sound more quiet. It will be at its worse at cold startups.

Look at oil pressure and listen for a very unusual sound.
