Sooooo,
On the first race with my cam/clutch combo I got beaten by about 1.5-2 cars by my friends cammed camaro. He has a 233 239 112, and his power comes on significantly quicker than mine. Prob around 2800-3000 RPMs.
My cam just doesnt make enough power for me quick enough. It takes until about 4,000 RPMS for it to really throw you back in the seat.
Right now I have a 232 234 114 .595 .598 Torquer 2 from Texas-Speed.
I was considering either going with the TSP XS Series Camshaft:
233/239, .595"/.603" with a 112
OR
TSP XS Series Camshaft:
Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609 with a 112.

Yes this is true, which is why I should have went with a 112 vs a 114.. But I also want to make abit more power, because when I add heads to the car I want the car to have as much added HP as possible so she can stand out

If I were you, I'd look for a trade with someone else so it won't cost you too much money to replace a cam or maybe purchase some 4.10 gears? or both?

I think you'll find that either one of those cams will both have strong top ends, but possibly lack a bit down low.
I know when I swapped from stock to the 233/239 I'm running now, I did give up some down low for the strong hit up top.
I don't think I'd go with the biggest cam I can find, but I'd probably talk with the pros just to make sure I had all the bases covered when it comes to the next one.
You don't have to have a huge cam to make good numbers...

Dont worry.. I have 4:10's
Is the 237 242 112 daily drivable? I mean I really dont drive my car that much, it only has 43k miles on it, but I dont want something too over the top.

If you're looking at TSP, I'd get the MS4. Last August I bought the 233/239 cam and I really wish I would have gotten the MS4. At the time I thought it would be too much cam, but after driving around the 233/239 I realized the MS4 wasn't too big for how I like to drive.

yeah,
but if I upgrade to a bigger cam, then when i add heads, injectors and pulley it will be a significant amount more HP then it would be if i stuck with this cam

For example my setup with only a 228/230 cam, through 4.10s pumps out 446/411 WITHOUT an EWP or FAST 90/90. There is NO delay in power delivery. Add some GOOD heads to what you have and you'll be happy.

I turned 12.01 @144 with a Torquer V2+PRC LS6 Stage 1s.3200 stall,3:73 gears. My ride picked up almost 50 hp when I put the heads on my motor when it was cam only TV2. It would really stroll when it hit over 100mph.

your cam and his would overlay within a few hundred rpm of each other on a dyno - which leads me to believe that it's not the cam holding you back. i don't think switching to his cam would gain anything. going to the ms3 on a 112 would push the powerband even farther up in the band due to it having so much duration. if you're going to change cams, i would suggest taking what you've got, adding 4* of duration to the exhaust and grinding it on a 110+2 lsa. this will bring the power in sooner and carry it a little farther than your current setup.
or just put a good set of heads on it - that will cure your problem, also. and get a DAMN GOOD TUNE no matter what you do.
