Oil or assembly lube on new cam??
I remember reading somewhere not to use engine assembly lube on a cam install. Is this correct??? Seems to me the best thing to use a new cam bearing journals would be the assembly lube instead of just oil.???
Thanks!

Re: Oil or assembly lube on new cam??
On roller cams you can just use oil. You would use assembly lube on a flat tappet cam.

on a regular flat lifter cam you need the lube for the lifters to rub on. On the roller cams there's no rubbing so there for you can use regular oil and don't have to worry about breaking it in.
