Default Car searching for idle on start-up...?

I have had a bad squeak coming from somewhere on the AC belt (either pulleys or compressor not sure), and as the squeak gets worse it seems that my car is having a harder time finding idle upon start-up especially when i turn the AC on within 2 min of start-up. Could a pulley or the compressor be going out causing to much resistance on the belt? The revs dip as low as 400 before catching and sometimes it dies out. Any suggestions please. TIA.

Yes it's possible - I would have it checked.
