LS6 Block? How Do You Identify One?

LS6 Block? How Do You Identify One? Saw a thread stating that some of the 2001 & up LS1 engine production used LS6 blocks? How would someone determine if they had one? I happen to have my engine on an engine stand right now, so maybe I could tell a little easier. Thanks, Ed

Re: LS6 Block? How Do You Identify One? There is a # on the rear side of the driver side head I believe, there is a post going in the external engine somewhere that has the actual #, one is the LS1 # and the other is the LS6 #...
