rebuilding an engine... what do i need?
So i managed to spin a bearing in my motor, so im about to tear it down and rebuild it while im in there. obviously ill need need new main and rod bearings, id like to put new rings in and hone the cylinders, an ls6 oil pump, and put arp rod bolts in. where would be a good place to get all the seals for the motor and the rings and bearings, and what all else would be a good idea to replace? thanks

go to your nearest gm dealership. as long as the crank and rods are good. just order bearings seals and head gaskets.
what you wont need. because they are reusable..
front cover gasket
rear cover gasket
valley cover gasket
exhaust manifold gaskets
intake gaskets
tb gaskets
and if your going arp might as well get arp head bolts because there about the same price as gm head bolts and there reusable unlike factory.
check your oil pick up tube for bearing material and clean it well.
ive built about a hand full of ls1s so far and none have come back.
if you have any other questions as far as disassembly and reassembly you can pm me
