Default PTV clearance of torquer?

Does anybody know the PTV of a torquer cam, either V2 or V3?

That will depend on the rest of the setup. Stocks heads with stock gasket will be fine but heavy milled heads and .040 gasket probably won't.

Whats the rest of your setup?

Thanks for the reply. If someone can tell me what their clearance was with their setup, then I can calculate what it will be with my setup.

It is all stock internals now. I am thinking about going with the torquer 3 and a set of ported LS6's with maybe a small mill (.015?), I would like to put a .040 or .045 gasket on it, but I wanted get an idea of the PTV clearance first. I only have a very short time window to complete the project so I don't want to flycut.

From what I have been told and have read about, you will be fine with the stock size valves in a stage 1 type LS6 head with the .040 gaskets. You may want to reconsider the milling however. Have you figured your DCR to see if you would even want to mill? I can say that I was told the V3 would clear with the stage 2.5 5.3's which have the 2.02 valve with the .040 gasket with no mill, so the stage 1 LS6's may even clear with the mill with the smaller valve.

Yeah I figure that any head with stock sized valves will fit with a 0.040 gasket, but I don't want to assume. Yeah with no mill, and 0.040", I am at about 8.48:1 DCR, on a 111+2, so I wouldn't mind milling a little, if it'll clear.

I spoke to TSP once and they said you had .015 to work with, so you can run a thinner gasket, OR mill the heads .015. Really, youll want to measure to be certain. I just flycut so I wouldnt have to worry.
