Anyone running a 5.3 oil pan with PA K-member?
I am going to try to use a 5.3 oil pan in my car, I have a PA Racing K-member in my 98 Formula. Looks like it will fit and and will also allow me to run another quart of oil... Anyone have any experiences or an opinion? also planning to use the 5.3 windage tray... Should be fine I think.

I'd check for adequate ground clearance since the truck sump is significantly lower than the 5.7L pan... The 5.7L pan cutsoff right below the lowest transmission bellhousing bolts, so you can use the truck 5.3L pan bellhousing bolts for a reference measurement on depth.
I'd think it wouldn't be too hard to lengthen a stock 5.7L pan to have a longer sump towards the front of the engine. The BMR K-members seemed to have a ton of oil pan clearance towards the front of the sump, yours is probably the same.
I do feel that either the C5 or truck windage tray is a good move as its a full length may help with a little more "free" HP

Using the 5.3 oil pan with an aftermarket k-member came up recently, and a friend has eyeballed it and taken general measurements, so I am going to try it.
What a Heinz 57 my longblock will be... 6.0 heads, Z06 block, 5.3 oil pan... lol.
