Oil pressure...can it get better? Well, I took some "before" readings today with my stock pump in because I got a ported LS6 pump to install with my cam...cold at idle = 60 psi, hot idle = 45 psi, hot at 4000 RPM = 70 psi. These are just rough numbers going by the gauge, but will the new pump actually give me higher numbers than this, and is it really needed? I realize the new pump will flow a higher volume.
