Re: LS6 heads vs 5.3L truck heads
Hey Adnan,
My take on it is..
Z06 heads will yeild more flow with less work.
5.3 heads will yeild the same flow but with more work.
Compression is comparable with the same milling specs.
Z06 heads are expensive but cheaper to port to S2's.
5.3 heads are cheap but expensive to port to become on par with S2 Z06 flow numbers. I guess it just depends on either braggin rights or being frugal? But back to your original question, it just depends on how well either of them are ported/milled.
Joe.
(confused myself)

Re: LS6 heads vs 5.3L truck heads
My 5.3's flow about the same as the LS6 heads. They are stage 2, and I am comparing to the numbers that I have seen posted on the board. If you have the money I would just get the LS6 castings though.
