02 Z06 Cam vs 03 Z06 Cam?

Default 02 Z06 Cam vs 03 Z06 Cam?

Is there any difference in the two cams? Does anyone know the specs? Thinking of using it for my single turbo car. I have a 224/228 588.595 on a 115lsa that i was going to install. What do you guys think. Its a forged 347 with 8.6:1 with a 3000 stall 4l60e.

Also should i use the adjustable crane dual timing set that the guy im buying the motor from is including. Or should i sell that and get an ls2 set?

The '02 and '03 Z06 cam are the same. The '01 Z06 cam is the smaller one and it's the same cam you'll see in stock LS2s.

Patrick what do think of both cams i mentioned. I will also be using very well worked over 241s. I was hoping you would chime in.

The 224/228 115LSA cam will work much better for a turbo car searching for big hp. The LS6 cams will work OK, but they are not ideal. I'm seeing lots of turbo cams anywhere from 225/225 with 113LSA to 224/230 cams with 114LSA. You need to watch your intake centerline to make sure you center your overlap right over TDC.
