LS1 needs an EXORCISM! Any ideas?
Just did a rebuild plus new heads and cam. The car idles fine with good oil pressure for about 10 minutes. After about 10 minutes there is a squeak in the motor and the oil pressure is about 26lbs. I took off the oil filler cap and there is a ton of vacum in the crank case. With the oil cap OFF the oil press is 36lbs and the idle is smooth. With the oil cap ON the idle surges and the oil press is 24lbs. There is still a squeak and it is not in the belts. Any ideas at all?
The car did smoke pretty bad on one start up but it only did it once. It makes me believe its in the valves or worse a spun bearing.

Make sure your motor is vented properly. That squeak is air blowing through your rear main seal. I am guessing when you rev up the motor is starts squeaking and sounding like a belt slipping. I had this problem when I did a LS1 conversion in a 71 Nova, I had to vent both valve covers.
