Default Who ports heads, and how much?

In my rebuild I'd like to have some porting done to a set of stock 317's that I have. What company can CNC a set of heads for me, for a decent price?

We can CNC port your heads, do our 5 angle valve job, hand blend, and mill per your specs for $650.00. If you have any questions, please let us know.

What kind of flow numbers can one expect to see from this work?

It will depend on the valve size and how much we mill. With a 2.02" valve, around 302-305 @.600".

That makes sense. This will be for a 408, so I'll need to have them flowing good. I don't care about the .600 numbers though. I want to know the rest of them.

Well with my experince a head that can flow over 300@.600" lift is gonna have good #'s in the mid lift also. That is a bargain by the way.

What can a person expect to pay for a CNC job and 2.02 intakes installed?

I guess I never considered that the valve job will require new valves, won't it? Does this price include larger valves?

The stage III is slightly higher and you are getting Ferrea 6000 series valves.

We can do the valve job for your stock valves if you like.

No, the 241s would be better for a stock build. I'm using them on a 408, so I need the larger combustion chambers.

The 317 has a port pretty much identical to the LS6 heads, which is better than the stock 241 heads. Like already mentioned, the 317 truck heads have larger combustion chambers though.

Cant they be welded/shaped to create a smaller chamber?

Here: Ill answer my own question. Yes they can but it would probably be too expensive to do so.

PP used to do that, I dunno if they still do. That was the beauty of 59cc 317 castings.
