Default PRC dual springs question

I installed these springs with stock rocker arms. The Comp Cams instruction sheet for my cam says there should be a minimum of .030" clearance between spring retainer and rocker arm (ends up near center of arm) with valve closed. Many of mine measure .012". Has anyone else had the same issue?

Yeah, it is nice that you checked. Sometimes the rockers have to be slightly ground if contact is made, but .012 seems OK. Just run it like that for a little while and then re-check to see if any contact was made. If not no worries then.

Thanks for the input. I called Jon at TSP and he said it should be OK too and that he had not heard of any problems with this setup. I will drive on with my project then this weekend...headers next.
