Default ported 243's vs stock L92's

Im building a 416 stroker motor from a 6.0 iron block and already have a set of LS2 stock heads and LS6 intake. I plan on running an agressive cam and my goal is to reach 500whp.

I may be off a little on my figures but here's a rough estimate. I've done some research and to get a set of stock L92 heads assembled is about 800ish.. maybe more. Not to mention a L76 intake for about 225. Should i save the 800 and put it into port and polish work on the 243's and keep the LS6 intake or go with the L92/L76 combo.. Im sure this has been discussed but i find my self over my head reading into it all at once. If someone could give me some good answered or point me in the right direction that would help greatly!

The L92's will still flow more air then the ported 243's. JMO

apples to oranges 241 were designed around a smaller bore, while the L92's were designed around something bigger. If the bore is 4 inches or bigger then the L92's.

I think you will have a hard time making 500whp with the ls6 intake. JMO.

Fast90/90 ported and ported/milled 243s along with valve reliefs for the pistons so you dont make contact.
