Need help choosing cam for 422
I'm in the process of building a 422 and would like to know everyones input as far as what would be a good cam to use also keeping in mind nitrous will be used. It's an iron block w/ a 4.030" bore and 4.125" stroke. Any input would be great. Also I'm looking for something on a 114 LS.

Re: Need help choosing cam for 422
I had two big cams in my old 422ci.
I had:
242/242/114 Lunati
-idled well, made nice power
244/244/112 comp S1
-very choppy idle, made nice power
With the 114 LSA and LS1 heads I made peak at 6150. With that big stroke you have I think a 114 makes sense.
My S1 peaked at like 5900 but carried out the HP within 90% to 6500.
In the past I ran a 236/240//111 in a 346ci.
All of this stuff is not turn key. You turn on the car, let it idle for a bit, then drive... sometimes two footing it.
I wonder how a 232/240//114 would do.
