Default Head install on my friends Z28

Will be installing some heads on my friends Z28 soon which will be my first time on a LSX he alrdy has a cam. Is there anything I need to watch out for? I know I need to be careful with the oil pressure sensor on the back of the intake and make sure I get the head bolt holes cleaned out good. You think its best to do new lifters also while we are there? What do you guys use to clean off the deck I was just thinking stuff all the holes as well as possible and using a scotch brite with some thinner.

Thanks,
John

I just took my heads off and the bottom bolts were a pain in the ***. I unbolted my headers from the rest of the exhaust and had to manuever the headers around to get each bolt.
