Question Same cam diffrent LSA how HP,TQ More

OK Guys I have friend whos thinking about MS4 But with 114LSA

Do you think its better if he got it 110LSA Its his weekend car but if the 110lsa will make diffrence in HP,TQ or mid range RPM He will go with 110lsa

What do you guys think 114LSA or 110LSA For more power and TQ?
And he want to spin the motor to 7200rpm+ ?

Thanks in advance and waiting for the raply.

for higher peak power and torque, the tighter LSA is the way to go.

there will be no change in peak power with same exact cams specs and only LSA diffrent

the only diffrent you will see is the tighter lsa like 110 will give more low end torque and peak a little higher on torque but no HP diffrnce.

i ve seen a test before here somewhere about two thunderracing cams

the 224-224 563-563 but with 114 and the other one 112

so they made the same peak power except the torque was little bit higher and peak sooner .

yeah only the low end torque is going to change. also when you go with a 110 your are goign to have to flycut most likely

But you forget to mention, those that peak sooner (tighter LSA) also fall off sooner.

4* tighter on the LSA is going to drive the low end torque down, pump up the mid-range noticably, and will increase the top end slightly (assuming the exhaust and heads are up to the task, tighter LSA is more sensitive to back pressure). The added overlap will help scavange better at higher RPM. In my opinion, if you are needing to spread the LSA to more than 110 on an LS1 to tame your cam's manners, then your duration is too large. Speaking for use on the street of course, if you are going all out racing, then pick the range that works for you.

Relatively short duration and tight LSA is how I like my street cars. Won't have the huge bragging right numbers, but it is a lot better for how I use it than some giant cam that makes you chase someone down in the second half of the quarter. Minimize your 1/8th time to make a great street fighter.
