You should be perfectly fine. I just installed a H/C combo in mine along with lifters & all that stuff. Mine had 101k on the clock & still had the original cross-hatching in the cylinders. Hell even my timing chain was still tight so I'm still on my stock oil pump & timing chain also. 2000 miles later & still running quiet & very strong with great oil pressure.

you should be fine! i wouldn't use the stock oil pump and timing chain. i would buy at least a LS2 chain, or even a LQ4 timing set. I would buy a roller master double roller if you have the money. At least buy a ls6 oil pump, and if you have the money buy a ported ls6 pump from texas-speed. I am not sure what else you dont have if you h/c kit... but a nice ported throttle body would also do some good.

Depending on the cam and springs you may want to go double roller chain but IMHO it's overkill, an LS2 chain should be fine. On an 02 the stock pump should be fine and assuming oil has been changed regularly the bearings will be fine too. You may consider Caddy or LS7 lifters as long as you have the heads off but again, assuming a reasonable cam the stockers should be fine.

Just bolt on the heads, slip in the cam, put in fresh coolant and oil, get it tuned and have fun!

i already have a slp double roller and slp high flow oil pump it will be upgraded with the ported fast 90/90 setup later on and i already have the stock tb ported and polished. what injectors would yall run the Ford Racing SVO 30lb or 42lb? i also have a racetronix pump, lifters, pushrods, rockers, and already picked out the heads and cam im going to run.
