whining sound coming from my motor.....
to start off no its not my fans.....im hearing a whining sound coming from the front half of the motor. im thinking its my water pump possibly a bad bearing. the weep holes arent leaking and all my other gauges are where they are suppose to be. the sound does get louder with acceleration. 02 ta m6 stock motor i do have a predator tune in the pcm.

might be a tension pulley also. Take a length of rubber hose and use it as a stethoscope. Place one end on the body of the water pump and the other close to your ear. Do the same with the other belt driven components. Be extremely careful to stay away from the drive belt.

The first thing i would do is to take off the serp belt, start the motor and see if the noise is still there. If its gone you know its one of the accesories driven buy the belt , idler ,alternator ,ect.
