Default Oil leaking out of fitting above filter on new startup

Just went to fire up my new motor. It started right up but pressure was a bit low and then we noticed a butt load of oil on the floor. It appears to be coming out the little fitting above the filter. Has anyone has this happen before. I had it off to put my headers up through but it was retightened. I took it back off and the gasket looks ok.

I think you're talking about the fitting for the oil cooler which you probably are not using. You should block it off if it isn't being used for that purpose. It has one of those rubber "O"ring/gaskets that is imbedded in a shim/spacer. The dealership probably wants $20 for it.

Thanks a bunch guys. I didn't think that gasket would be the problem but it sure was. I got a new one today for $3 and it sealed it right up. The old one must have been worn out and didn't reseal after I put my sending unit in.
