Default My TA is parked

Well, last weekend I drove home from UNCC to MD to visit cause we had 2 days off. While I was home, smoke started coming out of the vent in my valve cover which was rerouted under the car when the supercharger was put on. It is also spittin out a lot of oil. The next day, I got a service engine light so I hooked it up to a scanner and it said that I have a cyl 7 misfire. I am pretty sure that my rings are bad. This all happened the day before I had to come back down to NC.

Now I'm stuck here until Thansgiving with no car which I am already going crazy. I also have to find the shop I want it taken to, have them tear it apart and replace the rings and also have them look over the rest of the motor. I don't know if I can even afford it. And after that I need to somehow pay for new tires or I'll have cord showing by christmas...

This sucks

I have a 12meelion dollar bet on the fact that you didnt just toast a ring. Try a whole piston!

#7 is the weak link with spray or boost. I wouldnt be surprised if a few pieces of your ring land arent missing. Sucks man...

smoke is a bad ring, oil is usually missing pieces of a ring or a whole piston got broken up

Can't just replace rings, that requires total engine teardown and rebuild. If motor is bad, find another one or completely rebuild this one.
