Default High flow cats??

Hey everyone. I've been thinking about putting a set of high flow cats on my ls1 powered 99 ss camaro. Are they gonna give me a real seat-of-the-pants difference? i was thinking about putting them on at the same time i put on my new y-pipe. good igea? but i don't wanna run headers. it'll take away too much ground clearance and i drive over some big *** speed bumps. can i even use the high flow cats with my stock exhaust manifols? any help and advice would be great. Thanks

I don't think you can use aftermarket cats on stock exhaust manifolds. You shouldn't have clearance issues with LTs unless they are SLP. My LTs have no issues, its the
3" Y that is a little low. You would not feel much anyway. If you don't want to change exhaust just pull the cats off and knock everything out of them. Presto highflow cats are born.

If your not going to run headers I wouldn't even bother.

I've got o2 sensors behind the cats, if i hollow them out, that will for sure set a code. Thus, i will have trouble passing smog. If there is a way i can clear the code on my own let me know. Can the Diablo II sport programmer clear that kind of code?? I know it can clear codes, i just don't know which ones. Please let me know if you can. Thanks alot!

You can program those codes out with the Diablo. That's what i did. Haven't even had them hooked up since i installed the LT's.
