Unhappy cracked block need help selecting new block

Liked the title says, My block is cracked in the main web it is an 99 LS1 or was.
I need to buy another block but don't know and cant seem to find the #'s to determine what block is what. I have searched to no avail. Can someone please provide a link to a way to ID blocks so I can buy the right one first try?
Iam going to post a wtb ad after I find out how to ID and get the 99 model again unless there is a better one.
Thanks for any and all help, Carl.

On the back of the block right under the passenger side head on the block that number identifies the block.
