Default Timing chain help and info

I am getting ready to install a TSP 233/239 cam and Patriot heads.. Should I replace the timing chain while it is apart?? It is a 2002 LS1 with 42,000 miles..

If yes which sounds like the smart thing to do what chain do you recomend?? Adajustable, single or double roller, after market or stock??

Thanks

just replace it with an LS2 timing chain, you really dont need an adjustable one.

You should be able to pick up a set really cheap. It is good insurance and good practice.

I just bought a TR230 cam for my car and all I did was an ls2 chain swap. They said that was all you really needed. You can pick them up at Texas Speed for like 40$..
