Default To swap.....or not to swap????? Need some experts in here.

I recently installed a Moser and lost about 10 rwhp and 14 rwtq I am thinking a bigger cam to claim most of that back. I am currently running the TR224/114 and am very pleased with it's performance. Although it does not like nitrous as well as the stock cam I replaced. I am seeing some great numbers with the big standard split cams now available and am thinking I may go this route. My TEA heads are milled .0015, so I will want to stay around a 228 intake duration and raise the exhaust to 236 and tighten it up a bit with a 112 lsa.
Is this something I should do???????? Any input is mucho appreciated!
Btw, I know nitrous will love it....but my focus is NA.

More duration needs more gear.

For most 90% street car, 10% strip car setups most folks will want the drivability and friendly powerband of a 222, 224, or a 226 camshaft. I am lumping a 226 in here even though a 226 cam will also benefit from more gearing.

When you get in the 228, 230, 232, etc. ranges you will need a gear or a big converter.

You'll probably gain 5 - 10 HP and loose some drivability (idle and off idle range) with the extra exhaust duration. For mostly street, 228/232 might be a nice step up.

Hey Seth.....yes I am going to do the swap...if I don't like it I will simply swap back in the TR224. Have you tried the setup w/ nitrous yet?
