Default Head dowels

I went to put my heads on and noticed the new block didn't have the head dowels....how do I remove these from my old block/install in the new block. If can't be removed, where can I get them?

I used a pair of pliers, they came right out. Just grab them and pull. Mine were pretty dirty so I cleaned them before reinstall.

Yup, most of the time they will hang in the head. They will come right out.

If you do end up messing up the dowels or would like to purchase new ones they are the same as a BBC
