lift questions on cam/springs
Hello,
I have some AFR #8017 dual springs good to .600" lift...
I am looking at getting a cam that runs at .598/.598 lift...
are there any dangers inherent with running that close to spring max tolerance? i mean .002" is pretty damn close...or should i play it safe and get some of the new 918's?? I don't really want to get a new set of springs...but i will if i have to...or i guess i could just run a bit smaller cam...
Thanks!

I ran the Blue slashed 918's (from over 2 years ago, so it was a good batch) on a cam that measured 224/224 .605/.605 @ 110 LSA in a LT1 with those springs. No issues because the installed height was verified and checked.
If you do the same, you should be more then fine.
